At just 0.018 inches thick, Thermaflect Cloth installs flat against firewalls, hoods, floor boards, and body panels without creating fitment problems or adding measurable weight. The reflective surface pushes radiant energy away rather than absorbing it, so heat never reaches the surfaces you are protecting.
Rated for extreme temperature exposure. Thermaflect Cloth handles continuous radiant heat up to 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit and intermittent spikes up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. For best performance, maintain at least one inch of airspace and airflow between the cloth and the heat source, as direct contact with the source is not recommended.
Pressure-sensitive adhesive backing simplifies installation. The high-temperature adhesive sticks to most clean, smooth surfaces without additional hardware or spray adhesive. For rough, unfinished fiberglass or carbon fiber surfaces, the non-adhesive version paired with a spray adhesive such as 3M Super 77 provides better coverage and bond.
