Volcanic rock fiber construction. The sleeve material is naturally chemical and acid resistant, making it suitable for fuel, oil, and brake line routing where fluid spills and vapor exposure are unavoidable. Unlike synthetic fiber sleeves, volcanic rock fiber holds its structure and insulating properties even when contacted by corrosive fluids.
Hook and loop seam for tool-free installation. A lengthwise hook and loop slit lets the sleeve open and close around existing lines without disconnecting fittings or removing hardware. Wrap it around the line, orient the seam away from the heat source, and the job is done in minutes. The sleeve stays securely closed without clamps, ties, or additional fasteners.
Direct contact with exhaust surfaces is acceptable. The Lava Tube can physically touch exhaust components, provided the hook and loop seam faces away from the heat source and surface temperatures remain within the rated limit. This flexibility simplifies routing in tight quarters where clearance between lines and exhaust is minimal.
