Gen 3 silver grey Geomet coating. EBC switched to a highly corrosion-resistant silver grey surface finish across its entire rotor lineup. Applied during the casting process immediately after machining and washing, the coating seals the iron before surface oxidation can begin. The silver tone also matches most factory rotor colors closely, so replacing a single axle does not create a visual mismatch between the front and rear of the car.
G3000 spec cast iron construction. Every RK1197 rotor pours from G3000 grade iron, the same material specification used by OE brake suppliers. Over 80 percent of EBC rotor castings originate from European foundries, and all machining for sport rotors is completed in either the UK or the USA, giving these rotors a manufacturing pedigree well above typical import replacements.
100 percent runout inspection, no exceptions. After machining, each rotor passes through a dedicated runout inspection process. Rotors that exceed spec are pulled before they ship, eliminating the disc thickness variation that causes pedal pulsation and vibration after a few thousand miles of driving.
