The Circle D Ford HP Series 10R80 Torque Converter starts with a modified factory core and upgrades it with a CNC machined billet stator and custom impeller modifications, giving your 2018+ Mustang or F-150 a converter that launches harder and holds up to real power while still driving nice on the street.
Precision engineered for better power transfer. Circle D uses CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modeling to design a 5th axis CNC machined billet stator that improves fluid flow and torque multiplication over the factory piece. The impeller is fin recalibrated to work with the upgraded stator, and custom CDS internal clearances are set to optimize how the converter performs under load. Hand TIG welding is used throughout construction, which holds up far better over time than the factory stamped and glued assembly.
Built to launch harder and last longer. Torrington style bearings are used in place of the factory bearings, reducing friction and improving durability under repeated hard launches. This converter is available in 245mm and 258mm diameters with stall speeds ranging from roughly 2800 to 4400 rpm depending on configuration, so you can dial in a stall that matches your combination, whether you're running naturally aspirated or a forced induction setup.
Configurable for your build. Circle D offers multiple options to accommodate a wide variety of engines, power adders, and vehicle setups. This converter is recommended for naturally aspirated applications and forced induction builds up to 750 horsepower, making it the preferred choice for street driven and street/strip Mustangs and F-150s that don't need the higher capacity of the Pro Series converter.
