So when you look under the hood of this 2013 Steeda Mustang, what most people think the biggest bang for the buck is going to be the Vortech supercharger. But in fact, it's the Steeda Double Bar Strut Tower Brace. Scott Boda here with Steeda Autosports to talk to you about, Strut Tower Braces. Now, what's a Strut Tower brace? Well, it's a brace that actually ties in the two strut towers. Now, Steeda has been making Strut Tower braces since 1988 with the Fox body Mustang. Now, back then, it was always a triangular three point strut tower brace, attached the strut towers and the rear firewall. Now, with the springs located underneath the strut towers, all the force of the suspension is pressing up. In fact, with the fox body, as you can see up to a quarter inch of deflection in hard cornering with the strut towers. By tying them together, it reduces that deflection, allows your car to handle better, rides smoother, and actually cuts down a lot on the noise, vibration and harshness that you see. Now when the S197s came out in 2005 when we switched to a double bar design. That's because unlike the 79-04 Mustangs, this isn't the actual firewall. It's a couple inches behind. So tying anything into it wasn't really doing anything in our testing. So with a double bar design, we used domestic DOM seven eighths tubing. Right. It's going to tie in both strut towers. We've got some gussets along the way. The nice Steeda Billet center plate. And like I said, what that's doing is we are spring and strut assembly underneath these strut towers. When you go in the corners and they want to start flexing, it really ties it all in together. So when we popped the hood, a lot of you might have thought the best bang for the buck was a supercharger. But let's face it, not all of us can afford a supercharger, even though we love the horsepower. It was actually the strut tower brace for less than $200 and a five, ten minute install. It really transforms the handling in your Ford vehicle. We say Ford vehicle. We mean it. We make them for the Mustang, the Explorer, the Bronco, Maverick, Fusion, Escape, Focus. You name it, we make a strut tower brace for your Ford vehicle. So if you like what you saw, hit like, subscribe, follow us on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube.
