Steeda's S197 Mustang adjustable Panhard bar features 4130 chrome moly alloy steel construction, not just ordinary mild steel like the factory piece and other aftermarket offerings and is a great step towards improved handling over the factory supplied non-adjustable Panhard bar.
In keeping with Steeda's motto "Weight is the enemy of performance", thanks to our 4130 chrome moly alloy steel construction our adjustable Panhard bar is over 40% lighter than the factory Panhard bar and over 30% lighter than our competitors. It also features a larger bushing design for durability, precise handling, and no increase in noise, vibration, and harshness.
Benefits include easy on car length adjustment through our CNC machined chrome moly steel alloy adjuster to adjust rear end offset, this is especially important if you run much wider wheels and tires and want to make sure their offsets look correct. Our CNC machined chrome moly threaded inserts are precisely engineered to provide an easy adjustment and are far stronger than mild steel. Included urethane bushings will reduce flex and improve the Panhard bar's control resulting in better steering response and handling balance.

How to LOWER Your 2005-2010 S197 Mustang | Full Installation
Hi everybody Brian from Steeda.com, Here today to speak to you about our Panhard Bars for the S197 Mustang.
When Ford was designing the S197 Mustang the engineers decided to utilize a Panhard Bar setup. Now Panhard Bar is designed to keep the live axle from shifting side to side. The problem is the way they designed this setup when the suspension travels up and down because of the Panhard Bar coming across, It will either travel to one side or to the other. Now when you lower your Mustang it's going to shift that axle and if you're running a wide set of wheels or high offset in the back that means one of your tires is gonna be real close or touching the fender and the other is going to be inside. In addition and more importantly, It means it's gonna have some strange handling effects and the car's not going to track correctly. Well, we have two solutions for you. Both of these options are constructed of 4130 Chromoly Steel. Now this is 40% lighter than the factory Panhard Bar. It's also very strong.
Furthermore we've powder coated each of these bars to ensure lifelong corrosion resistance and durability.
Let's start with the Steeda Street Performance Panhard Bar. This bar utilizes polyurethane bushings at each end. The bushings are higher durometer than the factory rubber bushings, but they won't transmit additional noise vibration and harshness. Furthermore we've designed these to use CNC Chromoly Ends the CNC Chromoly Ends will provide a lifetime of easy adjustment and adding to that adjustment is our nickel plated adjuster. This is designed to simply turn and set the length of the Panhard Bar to where you need it when you need it. Very easy to adjust and because of the corrosion resistance and the strength that we've integrated into this, they'll last you a lifetime.
Having this adjustability is really important because it allows you to bring the axle back to center underneath the car. That's going to improve the way the car tracks. It's going to improve the way the car accelerates and definitely going to improve the way the car launches at the track.
For those of you more concerned about the launch then you are about street performance. We also offer our Race version. Our Race version utilizes Spherical Bearings at each end. The Spherical Bearings are pre-loaded and they're made of stainless steel for durability. We've utilized CNC Chromoly Ends at each adjuster. This is very important from a strength standpoint and a lifetime of durability setting up your race car the way that you want to. Put all of these things together and you've got a Race Panhard Bar that's definitely going to improve your launches.
