Steeda's S197 Mustang adjustable Panhard bar features 4130 chrome moly alloy steel construction, not just ordinary mild steel like the factory piece and other aftermarket offerings and is a great step towards improved handling over the factory supplied non-adjustable Panhard bar.

In keeping with Steeda's motto "Weight is the enemy of performance", thanks to our 4130 chrome moly alloy steel construction our adjustable Panhard bar is over 40% lighter than the factory Panhard bar and over 30% lighter than our competitors. It also features a larger bushing design for durability, precise handling, and no increase in noise, vibration, and harshness.

Benefits include easy on car length adjustment through our CNC machined chrome moly steel alloy adjuster to adjust rear end offset, this is especially important if you run much wider wheels and tires and want to make sure their offsets look correct. Our CNC machined chrome moly threaded inserts are precisely engineered to provide an easy adjustment and are far stronger than mild steel. Included urethane bushings will reduce flex and improve the Panhard bar's control resulting in better steering response and handling balance.

Adding the Panhard bar brace stiffens the Panhard bar chassis mounting bracket which is prone to flex under load during high cornering loads. Not sure if you need to replace the factory Panhard bar brace? Put your car in the air and grab the factory brace and pull on it. You will be able to flex it by hand! Hi everybody Brian from Steeda.com, Here today to speak to you about our Panhard Bars for the S197 Mustang. When Ford was designing the S197 Mustang the engineers decided to utilize a Panhard Bar setup. Now Panhard Bar is designed to keep the live axle from shifting side to side. The problem is the way they designed this setup when the suspension travels up and down because of the Panhard Bar coming across, It will either travel to one side or to the other. Now when you lower your Mustang it's going to shift that axle and if you're running a wide set of wheels or high offset in the back that means one of your tires is gonna be real close or touching the fender and the other is going to be inside. In addition and more importantly, It means it's gonna have some strange handling effects and the car's not going to track correctly. Well, we have two solutions for you. Both of these options are constructed of 4130 Chromoly Steel. Now this is 40% lighter than the factory Panhard Bar. It's also very strong. Furthermore we've powder coated each of these bars to ensure lifelong corrosion resistance and durability. Let's start with the Steeda Street Performance Panhard Bar. This bar utilizes polyurethane bushings at each end. The bushings are higher durometer than the factory rubber bushings, but they won't transmit additional noise vibration and harshness. Furthermore we've designed these to use CNC Chromoly Ends the CNC Chromoly Ends will provide a lifetime of easy adjustment and adding to that adjustment is our nickel plated adjuster. This is designed to simply turn and set the length of the Panhard Bar to where you need it when you need it. Very easy to adjust and because of the corrosion resistance and the strength that we've integrated into this, they'll last you a lifetime. Having this adjustability is really important because it allows you to bring the axle back to center underneath the car. That's going to improve the way the car tracks. It's going to improve the way the car accelerates and definitely going to improve the way the car launches at the track. For those of you more concerned about the launch then you are about street performance. We also offer our Race version. Our Race version utilizes Spherical Bearings at each end. The Spherical Bearings are pre-loaded and they're made of stainless steel for durability. We've utilized CNC Chromoly Ends at each adjuster. This is very important from a strength standpoint and a lifetime of durability setting up your race car the way that you want to. Put all of these things together and you've got a Race Panhard Bar that's definitely going to improve your launches. Panhard bar
Installed the panhard bar along with the sway bars and panhard bar brace. The combination of them really changed the handling of the car. It now feels like a coiled snake waiting to strike. Awesome results. Should've done this sooner.

Good mod
I was pleasantly surprised what a good mod this is. I have a 2011 GT Convertible, and this bar really tightened up the rear end, helping with acceleration, steering and powering out of corners. My 'vert feels much tighter and more connected to the road now. I also installed the supporting panhard bar brace, so both go a long way to stiffen the rear suspension. Installation is fairly straight forward. Takes some wiggling and wrestling with the bar to line up with the holes, but on car adjustment is a breeze. Make sure sure your suspension is loaded for install; otherwise your swaybar will interfere and you won't be able to line up the bolts. Best to do on ramps or on a lift.

Weight reduction modification, too
This helps to not only re-align the rear of your car, but also reduces unnecessary weight! And we all know that less weight results in faster acceleration!

Mandatory if car is lowered
This is a must if you are lowering your car. Helps realign the rear end. However, I was not too happy about the location of the jam nut on the passenger side. It is located within the mounting bracket which makes it a bit tricky to put an open end wrench on..

Best Panhard Bar on the market
Best Panhard Bar on the market. Made of high strength chrome moly steel. My 2007 Mustang GT California Special came from the factory like other Mustang GT's with the rear end hanging 3/4 of an inch offset to the left of center. If your car has lowering springs installed the rear end moves even more to the left. This is the fix to center the rear end. I also installed the Steeda Panhard Bar Brace that is also chrome moly. My Mustang is turbocharged with 653 rwhp and 685 lbs tq. Cornering is a blast now vs the old OEM bar flexing and the slop of the rubber bushings just didn't get it done. Easy to install and shipping is fast. Call Frank, he will treat you right !!!

Quality Upgrade!
I'm slowly overhauling the suspension on my 2011 GT and needed a panhard bar and brace, I went with Steeda and was not disappointed. Install was a breeze, it is also very easy to see how superior this product is compared to the OEM counterparts. The rear end feels more stable. Highly recommended to anyone looking to upgrade their suspension.

Much better part than the stock ford pan hard bar. Most of the rear ends are off center from the factory, steeda's part helped re center the rear.
