Our team worked hundreds of man hours dialing this calibration to enhance the driving experience in nearly any situation.

It is the most wonderful time of the year and I'm not talking about the holidays we are at Florida International Rally and Motorsport Park with our 2022 Mach 1. If you guys remember last year we had a Twister Orange Mach 1 out here testing stock versus our suspension and ultimately with the Competition Package you can get from Steeda's Performance Vehicles. We took that same exact competition package, put it on this 2022 Mach 1, albeit it's a little bit hotter this year, totally different conditions. We took this Mach 1 out; we're going to show you how everything shook out and ultimately what we're testing today. Very excited, the DSC Sport MagneRide controller with the Steeda High Performance Calibration. Again, very excited, we've been working months and months on this, hundreds of man hours developing this particular calibration to see how it performs not only on the street but also out on track. Let's check it out. We're back at the studio and before we go over all the track footage and break down the numbers for you we want to tell you about this new product. This is the DSC Sport MagneRide Controller for your MagneRide equipped Mustang with the Steeda High Performance calibration. We've worked hard here over the past nine months hundreds of man hours and R&D on this calibration for your Mustang and we're excited to tell you about it. This controller will fit 2016+ GT350s, 2018+ Mustang EcoBoost and GTs with optional magneride, 2020+ GT500s and Mach 1s and Bullitts with MagneRide equipped. So basically if you have MagneRide equipped on your Mustang this controller is for you. We did design this controller around our Dual Rate Springs and full suspension package but I'm happy to report that if you have anything but an EcoBoost and GT with optional magneride this controller will work perfectly with your setup. It is a super easy plug-and-play installation, the factory magneride controller is actually going to be replaced with this DSC Sport MagneRide controller. It goes in the passenger side rear of your trunk again it's a very quick five to ten minute installation. If you have a subwoofer it may be a little bit longer and again once it's in you'll honestly never even know it's there until you start driving. We calibrated this controller specifically to work with all the driving modes in your car. That means just like the factory magneride you're going to have your own dedicated normal mode, sport mode, and track mode just like you have in your GT350, 500, or Mach 1. But what we did up and above the factory MagneRide is taking this to the next level. In normal mode you'll actually be a little bit more comfortable cruising down the highway, it's not going to be floaty but again it's more comfortable than the factory setup, then you bump into sport mode if you're ready to take on some Canyon roads or some back roads it's the perfect combination of cruising down the highway and pushing it on a back road if you want a little bit more oomph, and then track mode that's our favorite mode here at Steeda. You take it out on the autocross track, you really push it on a back road or out on the road course it's all out performance from there. This is a locked device, that means the calibration you receive can't be changed but rest assured it's an easy installation and we did the hard work for you. We've tested this on a Steeda Mach 1, a GT350, as well as a GT500 as well so you really can't go wrong. It's an awesome package whether you're cruising down the highway or ripping up the track.

Better than expected
So drove it for a solid month, in as many situations as I could realistically trial. Got to take it to Podium Club at Attesa, a track in Casa Grande AZ. Track day + Daily Driving through inner city Phoenix AZ. Car does have the GT350/Mach1 Ultimate Handling Pack from Steeda, 2 point g-trac brace, and jacking rails. Still on the cup 2's. Alignment has been on track alignment throughout testing. Total Milage on setup ~1200 miles. First thing: The car behaves differently. More poise, more connected feeling in normal mode. I wasn't feeling any looseness or loss of control in normal mode. The car seems to be more responsive if I get on it, than it was compared to stock normal more. Transitions with the attitude of the vehicle were much smoother, car is predictable moreso than normal. No problems on city streets with potholes etc, car still tramlines. Overall in normal mode, thumbs up. Sport+ - This mode is harder to tell the changes. I can feel it is 'tightening up' in sport+. Prior to the dscsport, I really enjoyed sport+. After, I don't feel a huge difference with sport+. I still switch to this mode regularly, but it doesn't seem to change too much after the upgrade, sport+ still feels great, and the car transitions much smoother than before the upgrade. Still super fun mode. Track Mode: Here is where I really felt the biggest difference. The car is more nimble. Meaning when I want to control the car through high speed turns or difficult compound turns, the car's attitude was so responsive. Quick changes regardless of situation were handled with ease, without the vehicle becoming unsettled. Maintaining vehicle position & attitude is a breeze with this module, translating to tons of stability at speed. I was able to carry much speed through Podium Club, and the car still has so much more it could do. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, excited to really push this car.

BLOWN AWAY!
Just installed this on our 18 GT350 and I must, extremely impressed! Installation was very simple and before you know it, we were testing it out. On normal mode, the ride feels overall softer and less harsh compared to factory which makes this mode excellent for highway cruising or just poking around. Track mode is where it really shines! The car is much more predictable in the turns, especially at higher speeds now. I am able to really dive the car hard into turns and it takes it with such ease. During hard/full acceleration, I noticed the rear doesn't squat as much and the launch feels much more straight. AND, we don't even have the dual rate springs on yet. I can't imagine how much better it will be once we throw on the dual rates. The car is also equipped with the k-member brace and IRS braces from Steeda so it literally feels like the car is on rails. 5 out of 5 stars!

DSC First Impressions
21 Mach 1 HP with dual rate springs, competition softer rear sway bar and 305/315 PS4S rubber. Installation was a breeze, just make sure the harness is rubbing on anything after it’s mounted. DSC controllers are well known in the Porsche community for their high performance suspension processors. On the street, in normal mode, high frequency bumps are handled better as well as recovery from low frequency undulations. You just get the feel that the DSC is processing quicker and Steeda developed a good tune. What better way to test the track performance than none other than “respect the bumps” Sebring International Raceway? Turns 17 and 1 are higher speed turns with some significant shocks to the suspension and the DSC handled them well. Braking and corner exit seemed improved as well. In summary, a nice processor upgrade for the Mustang active suspension.
