Description

Axle exchange's aluminum driveshafts for the 2011 through 2014 Mustangs have been throughly tested to make them the best aluminum 1-piece driveshaft available!

These driveshafts do not use a flange adapter like competitive versions which can contribute to driveline vibrations. Instead they come with a completely new and easy to install pinion flange which the driveshaft directly bolts to.

Weighing 24lbs less than the factory GT model driveshaft these 1 piece driveshaft greatly reduce rotating mass giving you up to 2 tenths improvement in 1/4 mile performance! Improved acceleration that you can feel.

Rated to safely withstand up to 800 rear wheel horsepower. This driveshaft will satisfy practically any performance enthusiasts needs.

Note: If you have had your factory 2 piece driveshaft center bearing fail, that bearing cannot be replaced without buying a whole new shaft which is nearly double the price of our driveshaft. Upgrade your driveshaft today!

Awesome upgrade for any car street or track. Install time was half of what the posted install time is. I could instantly feel the improvement upon driving, all driveshaft related vibration and harmonics were gone!

Night and day difference
Just had the driveshaft installed and it is a night and day difference in responsiveness and feel. When you take your foot off the gas while still in gear the car no longer slows due to the light wieght of the driveshaft, I also noticed a 1mpg increase in fuel mileage. If you want to allow the engine to get the power to the rear more efficiently then this is a must have. I cant believe the difference in acceleration and driveline feel, its like your right foot and the throttle are wired together, instant responsiveness.

Well worth it
This is the second Steeda DriveShaft that I have installed. The first one went on my 2006 Roush stage 3. The second was just installed on my 2010 Shelby GT500. Both installed easily and I have ZERO vibration issues. (tested to 147 MPH) I believe what makes this shaft better than the others is the use of the provided Pinion flange. Competitors shafts utilize an adaptor instead of a new flange, and it is my belief that an adaptor can be a sourse of vibration. You cannot go wrong with this shaft, it may cost just a few more dollars, but it is well worth it.

Smooth driveshaft
Long story, but my 2006 Mustang GT convertible (100% stock except for Maier Racing 6 point roll bar - welded) developed a bad vibration at 48K miles (car was bought new built-to-order). Replaced driver front wheel bearing (~$200), rebalanced OEM drive shaft ($175), rebuild differential ($550), had suspension/wheels analyzed and balanced ($225). Still vibrated. OEM drive shaft rebalanced, only to find it was seemingly defective - unbalanceable. New OEM driveshaft - Ford sent wrong one ($450); the correct OEM driveshaft was $1100. No thanks - $1100 for an OEM driveshaft that lasted 48K miles (easy commuter miles - no racing). So I researched and bought this Steeda aluminum driveshaft two around 9/15/2010. Installed today, and vibration below 60 MPH appears to be gone. Have to test at higher speeds tomorrow, but definitely confirmed bad OEM driveshaft. Also noticeable improvement in acceleration. Highly recommended.
