Our experience and expertise in high-performance street and racing suspension systems is second to none, and the team here at Steeda has put that experience to work for you. Designed for ALL street and road racing applications, Steeda's Competition springs have the highest rates on the market but still maintain a comfortable and enjoyable ride when put on the street.

Competition-proven in both NASA and SCCA events, these springs greatly reduce nosedive and keep body roll to a minimum for the ultimate in performance handling. By lowering your S550 Mustang .750" all around, these springs provide an optimized center of gravity and an aggressive stance. Pair these with our Pro-Action shocks and struts as well as other Steeda suspension products to make your S550 Mustang a winner!

Professional race car driver, Billy Johnson borrowed a Q500 for some laps at Palm Beach International Raceway and this is what he has to say about them.

"The Steeda Q500 was a blast to drive on track... The adjustable suspension was far from harsh and had a wide range of adjustability to dial the car in at the track. Overall it was a nice dual purpose street and track package that raised the limits of the Mustang GT."
- Billy Johnson

Hi everybody Brian from Steeda.com here today to talk to you about our Dual Rate Ultimate Handling Springs. These springs have been developed for S550 owners that are going to the racetrack once, twice, three times a month or participating in all Autocross events. Now we've develop these springs with two rates. Dual rate so you have a stiffer rate for when the cars getting into pitch and roll. More on that in just a moment and a softer rate for your driving to and from the track. The idea is to have the sport minded enthusiasts to be able to drive to and from the track and not have to trailer their car. Now the dual rate the beauty of this is, as the car on the racetrack is you're getting into a braking zone the car want a pitch it will wanna nosedive and what will happen is the front springs will transfer into that stiffer rate the front springs the ranges 230 pounds up to 350 pounds will transfer it to that heavier spring rate that's gonna stop the front from wanting to nosedive. Now the beauty of the Dual Rate Spring is because the softer rate at the top of the back isn't pushing up on the back of the car as much, you get less nosedive less pitch. Same thing acceleration coming out of the corner. As you accelerate the rear of the car is going to get into the stiffer spring set, the rear springs are eight hundred to start up to twelve hundred at the firmest. The back of the car is not going to want to squat as much. The front of the car is not going to want to lift as much because again you have a softer rate not wanting to push up on the front of the car. Same thing with going into the corner as you roll into the corner, car leans to the outside tires it's gonna go into that stiffer rate and likewise the inside of the car isn't going to want to lift as much because you have less spring rate working against the other side of the car. So the beauty behind all this is ride comfort on the street faster lap times and we can tell you this because we've taken this and put these springs on our racecar. We've been actually running these springs for a couple years now with tremendous success. Something that we can say and our competitors can't. We win championships with our products. Best Performance Suspension Mod Ever!
I upgraded my springset to the dual rates not too long ago (my 3rd set) and took my car to the track and I was amazed at the difference! My best time of the day was a full 5 seconds faster at Thunder Hill's West 2 Mile configuration. That was on a MPSS tire set and since then I have added a set of RE-71R's and dropped another 5 seconds! If your serious about performance, then this is your set! Full disclosure though, I have all STEEDA suspension components like adjustable dampeners, camber plates, rear shock mounts, IRS alignment kit, IRS braces, front "Extreme-G" K-brace and IRS Bushing support kit.

Very Nice!
On my 2018 GT, the stock springs/shocks are much better than my 15 GT due to Ford changing to monotube shocks and springs and i was hesitant to change but risked it anyway. Very glad I did, With these springs and Steeda's non-adjustable struts/shocks, it feels much more compliant on the crappy gravel, pot hole neighborhood roads here in N. Fl. but hit the back winding roads and it feels glued without being harsh. The rears where a bit stiff at first until I was able to exercise them with some repeated 60 mph emergency lane change maneuvers and some aggressive on-exit corner acceleration. They then came to life and really allow the perfect amount of weight transfer to throttle out of the corner without the rear getting snappy. No caster/camber plates needed if you like slightly more camber barely within factory specs. Mine came in at -1.80 camber, which I like. I suggest letting the springs break in a couple of hundred miles before getting an alignment. My car settled another .25 inches. I did all the work in one afternoon and love the quality of the parts. The only surprise is they are much heavier in weight than the stock springs. I would guess-timate almost twice the weight. I've been using Steeda parts and tunes since they started and will always look to them first for my mods. Thanks everyone at Steeda!

Unrivaled Spring Package with Upgraded Dampers
I highly, highly doubt there is a superior "non-coilover" spring package out there. The rates make total sense. The fact that they're dual rate has significantly reduced body roll on my car such that I can run softer sway bar settings for increased compliance. Additionally, with Pro-Action Adjustable dampers, these are more than tolerable on the street, even with my upgraded bushings and bearings, bracing, and lower profile tires. I am often approached by people I passed on track asking "what coilovers do you have". You'll have to spend big bucks to beat these things.

Competition dual rate springs - daily driver review
Installed these springs myself, using the supplied instructions. First impression was, they feel like stock. Then I hit the highway and damn these make the car feel tight, planted and secure, cornering is way more flat. Highly recommend these springs. Alignment was easy to dial in, as the drop was 0.75-0.9 inch all around. Car doesn't bottom out on any speed bumps. IMHO perfect height.
