Once getting on it in the turns, I could instantly feel a difference. The body roll in the rear was all but gone and the car had a more stable feel.
The biggest change was that the amount of understeer and oversteer seemed to be perfectly balanced, neutral if you will. While accelerating in larger swooping turns, the understeer that I experienced before was jsut about gone. Instead, the car would slowly float outward in a very easy to control manner. The rate of outward slide was very predictable and eventually I was able to adjust my driving for it in a very short period of time.
In the areas where the steering wheel was turned left to right and left right, I thought that the suspension would eventually give and the back would slide out a bit behind me... NOPE :-)
If anything, now it feels like the front end is having to do a lot more work and can sometimes be on the line of being overtasked with the accelerating, the braking, and the turning, and the push from the rear, but that's where Ford shined in my opinion. The front end while feeling over tasked did everything I wanted it to and probably could have done more.
In the real technical areas, I was able to pull away from the ST behind me, but that could just be a difference in driving skill.
Ford gets 10 thumbs up from me for hitting it out of the park with the ST, I couldn't be happier with it.
Steeda gets another two thumbs up for creating a high quality product that doesn't change day-to-day drive-ability, but noticeably increases the handling capabilities in aggressive driving situations. Incredibly easy install, a great price, I recommend it to anyone that plans on driving it at any point beyond the normal daily commute.
