Our 304-Stainless Steel Resonator Delete H-Pipe for your iconic American made 5.0L Coyote Mustang GT is the best way to improve sound and increase performance at minimal cost while losing up to 6.5 pounds of weight. The H design increases torque at lower RPM and delivers a traditional mean deep muscle car exhaust tone.

Unlike most 2015+ versions on the market, this 2018+ specific H-pipe allows you to retain the factory heat shield found on 2018 and newer GT models without cutting and expanding the H-pipe to retain the OE shields or chiseling off the OE shields.

With mandrel bent 2.5" diameter tubing, the H-pipe easily installs between the factory catalytic converters and the factory mufflers. It is also compatible with virtually all aftermarket axle back exhaust kits. The 304 stainless steel mandrel bent tubing will not develop surface rust typical with 409 stainless or rust completely through like aluminized mild steel. The flush fit exhaust clamps allow for shortening the H-pipe if needed and prevent exhaust leaks common with expanded end kits.

NOTE : Cutting of the OE exhaust pipes is required for all resonator deletes on the market.

Product Benefits:
  • Up to +2 hp
  • Up to +2 lb/ft of torque
  • Improves low-end torque over factory resonator
  • Traditional deep muscle car exhaust note
  • 304SS will not rust like inferior 409SS or aluminized steel pipes
  • Sheds up to 6.5 lbs. weight
  • Does not require tune
  • Retains 2018+ factory exhaust heatshields
  • Supplied band clamps allow for reinstall of factory resonator
  • 32" overall length
  • Band clamps allow cut to shorter length

CA Residents: Cancer and Reproductive Harm WARNING

Hi everybody Brian from here today to answer a very important question for you S550 owners to H-Pipe or to X-Pipe that is the question. Now we can understand the confusion because both of them look very similar to one another. They're both made of T 304 stainless steel. They both replace the OEM resonator both save a lot of weight off the middle of the car and both change the sound and add some performance to the car. So we're here to help answer and guide you toward which may be better suited for you. We'll start with the H pipe. The H Pipe will give you a little bit of a deeper sound. A little bit more of a muscle car sound. A little throatier, but not quite as a raspy up top. As we move on to the X Pipe that's we're gonna get your higher RPM raspiness and a real nasty growl as you get toward red line. As we referenced a moment ago, both of these are a replacement for the factory resonator. The tubing is the same size and we provide the clamps for a nice clean installation. Since these utilize the factory exhaust gives you your choice of any axle-back that you want so you can truly customize the sound of your S550. Now with regards to performance both of these are going to increase performance nearly equally the X Pipe will just slightly edged out the H Pipe in peak performance just by a little bit. So in all reality it comes down to the type of tone you're trying to get out of your exhaust and this brings us back to our original question. To H Pipe or to X Pipe. Which did you choose?

This h pipe is great. Easy to install and sounds great. Gave my car that deep muscle car sound.

Steeda H pipe
I debated for the longest on whether I should get an X pipe, or an H pipe. It seems like everyone goes with the X, yet after listening to several videos of H pipe equipped S550s, my mind was made up, and I don’t regret it. Car sounds great at idle, and even better under load.

Let me first of start by saying I have been wanting a 5.0 Mustang for years. So when I finally purchased by 2020 Mustang GT in December of 2020 I was stoked. But I must admit something about the factory active exhaust sound was a bit underwhelming even in track mode. I love the sound of the stock system but the volume was just not there. That all changed when I got the Steeda H-Pipe installed. The car instantly had more volume, it crackles and pops during downshifts and has more of a deep muscle car rumble while still maintaining some of the iconic coyote rasp in the upper rpms. It is just pure bliss especially with the rear seats folded down. I have installed dozens of mods to my car and this by far my favorite this is a must have thanks Steeda!!!

Excellent H-pipe
The fit and build quality of this H-pipe is perfect. It’s a well made piece just like everything I’ve purchased from Steeda. It also wakes up the sound of my Mustang and really gives the exhaust a nice aggressive sound. Very happy with my purchase and glad I didn’t spend more on some of the other more expensive options from other suppliers. I’ve heard some complaints about the mufflers sagging with the supplied clamps so I opted for some heavier gauge butt clamps instead and haven’t had any problems at all though.

Perfect addition. Exact sound I wanted
I went back and forth on deleting the resonator. I did not want an obnoxious drone in the passenger compartment. I compared some X pipes and H pipes but after watching the Steeda videos comparing the two I knew the H pipe was what I wanted. I still have the stock quad tip exhaust and this system woke it up just enough. It sounds like a muscle car without the rasp. Some like the rasp but I wanted a clean deep tone. This was perfect. There are some cheaper options out there by about $50-70 but they were all 400 series stainless (surface rust potential once heat applied). This one is the 304 stainless which is a better quality. I did not have a lift so I did this using jack stands. The install is relatively easy but since I was on jack stands I did not have much room. This led me to the decision of removing the exhaust vs cutting the pipe on the car. I highly recommend doing this if you are on the ground, cutting that close to the fuel tank doesn’t give much room for error. This did also take it from a one person job to two in order to remove the exhaust. Putting it back was easier with two but can be done with one since it is now in smaller pieces. The clamps were perfect and easy to install. If I had to go back and do this again I would definitely do this same kit great value, easy to install and sounds perfect.

I had Roush Axel Backs with stock resonator and it sounds good. Deleted the resonator with this H-Pipe and now it is really loud. The cold start is crazy but once warmed up it is manageable. Big change if you want to be heard.

Wow what a difference it made instantly. I recommend it for anyone with an active exhaust that's looking to make it louder. Quality was second to none for sure.

Clean, Crisp Sound
This is what Ford should have put on the car from the factory. This H-pipe really cleans up the raspy, empty rattling can sound the resonator gives to the stock exhaust and replaces it with a crisp, throaty sound throughout the rev range. Combined with the Aggressive Tone mufflers that I purchased, the sound became much more pronounced and added exhaust burble on deceleration. You will not be disappointed with this.

19 GT - W/O Active Exhaust
Purchased the H-Pipe wanting the old school muscle car sound. I didn't want to be obnoxious and upset the neighborhood so I opted to start with this item before going with a full exhaust revamp. A year later I am still pleased with the results. Nothing against some of the other higher end companies, but if you are looking for results without compromising quality, breaking the bank, or upsetting your significant other, then Steeda is the way to go! I did have to wait a couple weeks longer for delivery due to availability, but it was worth the wait. I had the pipe installed by a mechanic for $75, that also gave back positive feedback on the install and product marksmanship. Today I ordered the Steeda axle back and some wheel spacers so another review is forthcoming.

H-pipe with active exhaust
Ordered my h pipe and within 3 days it was on my doorstep, 25 minutes of labor later, I was absolutely thrilled with the results. Went on super easy, and the sound doesn't disappoint. The variety of tones and ( sweet sweet) noise level are amazing when flipping through the factory active exhaust options. Quiet is still quiet, and the rest are just simply music to the ears, especially in track mode. 100% worth the buy and couldn't be happier with steeda's quality and results. Will definitely return for more goodies

H-pipe 18+
The fitment and quality is nothing less than what you would expect from steeda! Those welds are pure art work and it woke up the exhaust up immensely with minimal rasp! Should have a 10 star rating option!

Absolutely Epic sound, and unbeatable value. Completely changes the sound and character of the car without the expense of replacing the entire exhaust. Excellent product!

Still grinning
It is louder than expected, cold starts are rather antisocial. After my first ride, I realized that my face was hurting from grinning like an idiot. I have the active exhaust and the variety of sounds you can get with this thing is amazing. Keeps me happy even when driving close to the speed limit.

Great sound
I installed this steeda h-pipe on my 2019 Ford Mustang GT with factory active valve exhaust. This pipe blew my expectations away. You will not believe how much this elevates the sound until you hear it in person. Quiet mode is still quiet, and normal mode is a little more noticeable but not that much. In sport and track mode this thing really screams. I had my friend follow me around in his Charger scat pack and you can clearly hear my car ahead on his dashcam as long as he didn't have the pedal on the floor. People a hundred yards off the road are snapping their necks to see what that glorious sound is. I'd recommend trying this before any other exhaust mod. I wanted a corsa cat back extreme exhaust eventually but, now that I've done this, I realize i don't need to spend 2 grand because $200 did the job! The pipe is very well made, heavy duty with beautiful welds. My only recommendation would be that steeda package the ends of the pipe in foam or something. The opening of the pipe got damaged in shipping and you could clearly see the hole the pipe made in the box. I had to go to a local exhaust shop and have the pipe opened up. It was no big deal and luckily free of charge but i thought steeda should be aware.

After much research I ordered a H-Pipe for my 2020 mustang gt. I ordered it late evening on a Wednesday and it was delivered Friday that same week. I put the car on my friends lift that same Friday afternoon. Install was straight forward. Quality of pipe was excellent. After removing entire exhaust system and match marking resonator with H-Pipe, I reinstalled the exhaust and new H-Pipe. One clamp I used would not tighten down enough to keep the exhaust from drooping. I added 2 washers behind the nuts to allow more compression of bolts. Bolts are shoulder bolts and long. After that issue was resolve. I started vehicle and both clamps leak slightly. Could not get them to seal. The front stock clamps don't leak. But this was minor. After searching this issue on the web I saw that a lot of manufacturers are having similar issues with the clamps on their pipes as well. I have a Headers, h pipe and full exhaust on my Chevelle and I love the sound of the steeda H-Pipe. It's not to load but loud enough to be enjoyable. I'm 50 yrs old and wasn't looking for something over the top. I will eventually have a muffler shop weld the pipe permanently to correct the clamp issue. I would of gave this product a 5 Starr rating if the clamps weren't a issue. I also read that steeda clamps were better than others. So know that they probably have the best clamps you can get. Hope this helps if your on the fence about self installation. After looking further I found clamps from hooker that are of the same design as the factory front clamps. Removed steeds clamps and installed the hooker header clamps that I purchased for 28.00 at summit. They secured the pipe without any drooping and sealed leak free as they have the factory design. Save yourself some trouble and buy better clamps other than that product is great. Would highly recommend. I heard roush design leaks as well. Steeds has the best design out there in my opinion.
