If you're looking for a no-compromise double wishbone front suspension to transform your 1979-1993 Fox Body Mustang's handling, Detroit Speed has the solution. Introducing DSE's Short Long Arm Conversion System with Double Adjustable coilover shocks, a complete front suspension upgrade that gives your Fox Body modern geometry, strength, adjustability, all in one premium looking package. This package combines many of DSE's popular front suspension kits such as their 1-7/16" front tubular swaybar, tubular upper and lower control arms with SN95 ball joints, front "Detroit Tuned" JRi coilovers, forged uprights/knuckles and hubs for 5-lug and S550 braking system compatibility, and frame rail inserts for maximum strength.
Modern Suspension Geometry: Thanks to the included DSE frame rail inserts, your Mustang will benefit from a more modern suspension geometry for better camber gain, roll center height, and front-end stability. This combined with tubular front upper and lower control arms will give you precise control of your front end in all situations with minimal deflection for unmatched handling response.
DSE & JRi Front Coilover Struts: Featuring DSE's "Detroit Tuned" JRi double adjustable front coilovers, you'll gain precise control of your front suspension for application-specific adjustments. These front coilovers offer ride height adjustment as well as a large range of independent high and low speed rebound adjustment to dial in your ride. The included 2.5" ID coilover springs offer a balanced ride, but can be swapped to the spring of your choice in the future.
Reduced Body Roll: DSE includes their tubular adjustable front swaybar in this kit to keep front body roll to a minimum, giving you flatter cornering and better control of your vehicle in extreme turns. The 1-7/16" tubular design sheds weight yet provides increased strength compared to the factory bar, and features two endlink mounting holes to dial in your desired bar rate. Mounts, bushings, and endlinks are also included to complete the install.
Modern Braking and Wheel Options: This kit replaces your existing steering knuckles with DSE's forged aluminum uprights and modern hubpack bearings for improved durability. These uprights are also designed to be compatible with the included SN95 ball joint equipped tubular lower control arms, as well as S550 (2015+) Mustang braking systems for maximum stopping power. Finally, replacement wheel hubs are included and feature a 5x4.5 (5x114.3) bolt pattern for expanded wheel and tire options.
Maximum Clearance: With this kit, you'll be able to run up to a 275/35R18 front tire on a 10” wide wheel while still maintaining full steering lock for expansive wheel and tire options, ensuring you have all the traction necessary to control some serious horsepower.
