When Ford released the awesome new 2.7l Twin Turbo EcoBoost V6 Fusion Sport, the team at Steeda couldn't wait to get their hands on one! While it's a nice improvement having some extra cubic inches and an additional turbo, the team at Steeda knew we could squeak some more horsepower out of it. Introducing our hot new Twin Turbo Fusion Cold Air kit from Steeda! Featuring an in-house CAD-designed custom Roto-molded air box that seals directly to the hood liner and utilizes 2 high-flow velocity stacks and the factory cold air feeds. It keeps the hot air out while keeping both air filters cool. That's right, we incorporated 2 high-flow, million-mile warranty air filters into this kit. Both feature Steeda's exclusive velocity stacks to help this twin-turbo beast breathe as freely as possible. What makes this kit even better is the fact that it does not require any ECM tuning, making it an easy direct bolt-on!! In addition, under steady-state driving conditions, an increase in gas mileage should be noticed.
Cooler IATs. The Steeda cold air intake gives your Fusion better intake air temperatures, this results in better performance and improved fuel economy. The lower IATs are a result of the design of the airbox, high flow filters, and the precision-molded thermoplastic velocity stack. The airbox shields your intake from the heat in the engine bay, and features an inlet scoop that draws cool fresh air into the intake.

Hi everybody Brian from Steeda.com highlighting our Cold Air Kit for the 2017 and newer Ford Fusion Sport.
As you may have noticed, we're big fans of the Fusion around here and the Fusion Sports no different, but bigger power and all-wheel drive to put the power down but let's face it, when you walk around the car you pop the hood open for the first time you wonder if you're missing a second air box somewhere because that stock unit is just tiny. The airbox is a very important element in the overall performance of your vehicle. Especially in something like this that's twin-turbocharged.
Now this is where our Cold Air Kit really comes into play. We utilize a much larger airbox with a huge opening at the front. This is going to take in any cool air that comes in the front of the vehicle. We also use much larger filters. We get rid of that
panel filter and go to two cone style filters. These are going to flow a lot more CFM than the factory air filter will and again we're getting a that cool air into the turbos faster.
Now let's back up just a little bit talk more about that. In a forced induction or a turbocharged car like this, it's important to get a lot of air to the turbos. This allows them to spool up quicker. Again more performance, more horsepower. Cooler air into the turbos means cooler in typically cooler air out, lower intake air temperatures, more timing, more horsepower and you know what a side benefit of all this is? Better gas mileage. Further enhancing the performance of this Cold Air Kit is our use of huge billet aluminum velocity stacks. One for each filter. This means we're able to start with a large opening on the filter and funnel the air down creating velocity and since this feeds each individual turbo, that means velocity into each. The turbos will spool up faster, they'll build pull more air longer and airs getting each turbo at a high rate of speed. Everything needed for installation in this Cold Air Kit is provided. Right down to the grommets so you can remount the factory intake air temperature sensor and building on that a little technical tip for you, when installing this Cold Air Kit because the airbox is so much bigger than the factory box, we recommend loosening the battery bracket and sliding the battery just toward the firewall a little bit to make sure that you have plenty of room right up front here. Do that you'll be able to squeeze this in and trust me there will be real estate left over. Another benefit is the use of serviceable air filters. This means as you're driving the car you can maintain the filters. We do offer the cleaning and recharge kit right at Steeda.com
Another really important benefit is that this does not require a recalibration of the factory ECU.
So those of you that are worried about warranty, you can install the airbox, run the factory calibration but for those of you after peak performance, you need to talk to us about tuning for this. In fact this airbox currently resides in one of the fastest Fusion Sports in North America.
