Description

The Explorer ST offers improved handling and better performance over the other trim levels, but you may be after more. Get even better handling and dress up the engine bay with the Steeda strut tower brace.

Increased rigidity. A stamped steel strut tower brace comes standard on the Explorer ST but it may not offer the greatest performance. The Steeda strut tower brace features strong steel tubing and sturdy mounting plates to ensure great strength.

Custom look. The Steeda brace is an eye-catching upgrade over the stamped steel piece. This brace is a great way to give your SUV a unique look at meets and shows. The wrinkle black powder coat finish matches the factory trim and looks great in the engine bay.

Easy installation. Only basic hand tools are needed to install the strut tower brace and installation can be completed at home in a garage or driveway. Upgrading the strut tower brace should only take a couple of minutes.

Hi everybody Brian from Steeda, spotlighting our Front Strut Tower Brace for the 2020 and later Ford Explorer.   The Strut Tower Brace is well, exactly that. It's a brace that spans the distance between both strut towers and stiffens the chassis. Now we know that some of you are thinking well I don't want the truck or my Explorer to be too stiff and the reality is anytime you can stiffen up the chassis, this is a good thing because you won't feel that back in the seat as much as far as ride quality is concerned but you will feel it as far as the stability and as far as the handling as well as predictability of the vehicle. The reality is that the span is really wide and as you look at the truck from the front, ultimately you have your subframe obviously going up to the sides and then this wide opening up top that isn't connected. So this simply boxes that out. Anytime you can stiffen up the chassis, well anytime you can do that you're ultimately going to make the truck more responsive, the steering feel more responsive and that allows the suspension itself because the chassis is now stiffer and boxed out to do its work without having to go to stiffer springs to achieve the same thing. You see this all the time in lightweight sports cars and anything they're trying to do as far as keep it light, keep the chassis stiff. Why should the Explorer be any different? It's a Sport Utility Vehicle, so let's have some sport and some fun while we're driving this thing every day, hauling goods, towing your race car or whatever it is.     The Steeda Front Strut Tower Braces will fit 2020 and later Explorers of all trim levels. It's a straightforward installation and no modifications are required to the vehicle, of course all the hardware that's required for installation is provided. We proudly manufacture this in the USA at a Valdosta Georgia facility and back it with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defect. So this is a great time to tell us and comment below about how you're utilizing your Explorer. Are you towing a race car with it, a boat, all the above, simply taking it through Blue Ridge Parkway, a commuter or again a mixture of everything just like we do with ours. Well tell us a little bit about it because this also helps us define and identify what sort of parts the truck really needs because you as a consumer, you're always very important to us. Obviously you've been doing this since 1988 and it would have been possible without you.   The Steeda Front Strut Tower Brace is a great inexpensive way to add rigidity to your Explorer chassis. As noted a moment ago this is really important when it comes to driver feedback as well as feel of the vehicle. It's not going to add any harshness to the ride, it's actually going to improve ride quality but more importantly it's going to greatly improve feedback to you as the driver and anytime you have better feedback of what's going on on the front of the vehicle, let's blow in the back of it we're going to be more confident and it's going to be much more enjoyable experience. Whether you're towing something, you have your precious family and payload behind you or again you're simply driving through the canyons and wanting to enjoy the sport aspect of your SUV. The Strut Tower Brace is a great way to do this.     To learn more about this and many of the other great parts we offer for the Explorer check us out at Steeda.com. Mr.
Much stiffer and better looking than the stock brace. Takes 10" to install. Another winner from Steeda.

Heavy Duty and Good Looking
I purchased this strut tower brace to replace the stock one on my 2020 Explorer ST. What a night and day difference in the quality. The Steeda brace is very cool looking and much stronger. Really makes the engine compartment look so much better too. Highly recommended. I powder coated mine to match my red calipers. Let’s Go Brandon.

Performs as Advertised
This is my third Steeda purchase. Rear sway bar, springs and now strut brace. Outstanding product, great follow up, and performs as advertised. Could not be happier.

Awesome Upgrades!
I have this strut tower brace along with the Steeda lowering springs and rear sway bar. These upgrades make my ST a true sport vehicle! Best money spent on a vehicle ever!

Nice Quality
My strut tower brace was on back-order so I had to wait a few weeks, but when I received it was nicely wrapped in plastice. Once opened the textured finish is very nice and it's heavy and very well built, and much sturdier than the stock strut tower brace on my ST. I like that it's one peice without additional locknuts to work loose. The installation was straight forward and easy, everything lined up and fit perfectly, also the brace looks nice under the hood. I don't have much to report since I have only took one road trip and don't drive my Explorer hard, but I installed this in anticipation of installng the H & R springs that are also on backorder and would like the extra support. This is a very nice piece, don't hesitate to buy it.

Great Product Overall
Shipped fast, I received the strut brace within 5 days of ordering. The product itself is fabricated well and the powder coat looks fantastic. Noticeable difference with spirited driving around corners. The kit is complete....almost. My only suggestion is to include the XLT's when creating chassis items such as this. I had to source 2 bolts for the rear of the bar as my XLT did not have a factory strut tower brace, bolts sourced were M8x1.25x32mm. Not a big deal, just a suggestion to include these in the future.(Please excuse my not so clean engine bay). Still giving it 5 stars as it initially setup for the ST.
