The program includes payouts for the top three class finishers in all American Iron races. Burnett's Mustang was the winningest 2006 Mustang in the country. In the NASA West Region, Andy Bowman had the fastest Mustang in American Iron the second half of the season and barely missed the championship by a few points.

When asked why the company is involved with NASA American Iron racing, Steeda Autosports President Dario Orlando explained. "Since 1988 Steeda has always been involved in production car racing, where we can prove out our performance parts before they are introduced to the public. We race what we sell. The NASA American Iron Series is the perfect proving ground for our products."
