What does it do?

Steeda's Rear Mustang Shock Tower Brace ties the two rear upper shock mounting points together to limit rear chassis flex making the rear suspension more effective and increasing overall chassis life.

What materials are used and how is it made?

Even though it cost us more, we believe strongly in using chrome moly steel, a stronger and lighter alternative to mild steel used in other braces.

Steeda's Mustang Shock Tower Brace requires welding of the mounting brackets to the top of the strut towers. An installer experienced in welding is recommended for installation.

Had it welded at a shop. Quality product. I installed the Steeda strut brace, so putting a brace in the rear only made sense. My car rides and handles a bit better now.

High quality construction. Fit & Finish is good. I got the Steeda rear shock tower brace installed and welded at a local muffler shop. You'll definitely need an impact gun to take off the flange nuts on the OEM shocks to install the brace. The brace does stiffen up the rear from chassis flex. I noticed that my 2011 Mustang GT is quieter inside the cabin going up driveways at an angle and overall ride feels "tighter" around corners because of less chassis flex.
