Good product
I got the last catLESS downpipe Steeda had to offer, whatever their reasons. This review will suffice for the catted downpipe as well since both units went into and back out of my car during a club install day to see any differences in sound, driveability, and easy of install. During installation I found I had more "play" with the engine itself having the rear motor mount disconnected from the subframe. I did that mount at the same time as the downpipe since the hardware connecting everything is interrelated, but if you're just doing the downpipe, taking out the center bolt that connects the "dogbone" to the rear/lower motor mount itself will give you more room to get things fit 'n finished. The absolute worst part of this is the V-band again. That fire-ring kept popping out of place making me restart the fitment process over again. Loosen the V-band as far as will go, slide it around the mated downpipe and turbine, and it'll hold it all in place so you can get that 13mm nut tightened down. Make absolutely sure you have the O2 sensor wires tucked away from the turbo and downpipe. If those wires melt, you're going to have to repeat this whole process over again to replace them. Not to mention paying a lot of money for a really foreseeable mistake. This was mated up to the OEM catback and sounds wonderful for those that don't want drone and/or loud exhaust while just cruising around. However, at wide open throttle this combination will put a smile on your face.

Great Upgrade
I did this install myself, but would recommend a technician if you are not comfortable doing this level of work on your ST. The instructions were easy to follow and straight forward. I liked the quality of hardware supplied, especially the plug for the third bung I opted not to use... The tricky part was getting the upper clamp undone. It is way up there and has a crazy mechanical requirement to loosen enough to free the OEM pipe. With patience and many superlatives, I managed to conquer that part (both times). After carefully twisting the pipe out, I could clearly see the difference between the Steeda and stock pipes. I was very happy at my choice at this point. I removed the second O2 sensor, it was very stubborn, but I finally unscrewed it. I put in the new pipe and lost 3-5 years of my life re-tightening it and reconnecting the senors. I was again pleased at the great fit and finish of this new part. A key note, is to remember to place the O2 sensors in the most distant positions from each other if only using two sensors. If you choose to put them right next to each other (the two adjacent bungs) you may experience a check engine light. BLUF: ensure one sensor is before and one behind the CAT. I put all the remaining parts back together and took my trusty steed for a test on the nearest highway. Wow! Permasmile again! Throttle response was greatly enhanced, and the power gains were VERY noticeable. The subtle change in sound was improved to my liking as well. The only new negative effect I noticed was some vibration from what seemed to be from the vicinity of the front driver's side of the car (dash/hood area). It only occurred at certain times. I do have the Steeda RMM installed. I might have to get the TSB completed to have Ford replace the remaining two mounts to fix the issue. All in all, I am very pleased with this and would recommend it to others. I will re-look and see if everything is hanging freely and tightened down 100%. Great upgrade, thanks Team Steeda!
