All aluminum construction makes this particular engine 55 lbs lighter than any N/A V6 engine. The Ti-VCT strategy uses twin independent variable camshaft timing. The camshaft timing run in the 2013-2014 Focus ST engine is optimized for fuel economy, performance and emissions. The turbo on this particular EcoBoost features a low inertia rotor that spins up to 195,000 revelations per minute, putting out up to 16psi. The high pressure fuel system on this Ford Racing crate motor features 7 jets on each injectors that spray fuel directly in to the combustion chamber. The low-friction coating on the piston rings optimize for maximum operating efficiency and insure that there are no parasitic power losses.
