BBK long tube headers are all manufactured using 1 5/8" CNC mandrel bent tubing for unrestricted airflow and use 1 piece laser cut flanges for strength and durability.

These header systems make 14 to 24hp over stock on naturally aspirated applications, and up to 50hp on supercharged applications when combined with a quality cat-back exhaust system and BBK Mid pipe.

All BBK headers are pressure tested upon assembly to insure leak free performance.

Note: all long tube headers require matching mid pipe for installation. Long tube headers will not bolt up to factory mid pipe.

Available in standard chrome finish or polished silver ceramic coating.

Look, Sound, Power, Torque
I had a set of Doug Thorley Tri-Y Chromed Headers on my old 68 289 Mustang and they made a big difference in power and torque, so installing long tube headers was the first thing on my radar for engine upgrades on my 06. Then I learned about ceramic coating - making this upgrade option on the expensive side, but worth every penny (and the wait). A lift is recommended as these are installed from the bottom up. Installation took my buddy and me 5 hours (including a dinner break). We found that you don't have to remove and/or loosen the steering arm, just the starter motor and motor mounts needed to be removed per the instructions. We had to cut one of the supplied bolts back a couple of threads to clear the tubing and enter the header flange hole on the passenger side (cylinder #3). Some have complained about BBK's header gaskets - I have had no problems with them. Use a 10 mm wrench to tighten the header bolts then re-tighten them after 3 or 4 days and once more a week or so later. These give good performance gains in horse power and torque. They look and sound great! And if mileage is important to you, these along with Steeda's underdrive pulleys put me right at 30 mpg on the highway using cruise control.

Look and sound great!
I have a 2006 GT 5-speed. Time was less than 5 hours taking it easy and including 1 dinner break. I went to a friend's home shop and was able to use his lift and air-tools which made this project much easier than had I done it on my driveway. We did not need to remove the steering linkage (had trouble getting it free - so left it in place). Removed the starter and engine mounts. Had to move the engine up and down a few times to get the headers to fit/clear for install. Had to cut one of the supplied bolts back a couple of threads to clear the tubing and enter the header flange hole on the passenger side (cylinder #3). The shop owner was also helping another friend with a differential "locker" mod - says had he been just doing the headers it would have taken him 3½ hours. They look and sound great! With Steeda's under drive pulleys and BBK headers, I'm guessing to be right at 30~31 mpg taking it real easy (cruise control) on the highway with a V8. Not bad!!!
