Hello everyone, this is Seth with Steeda Autosports. This video is going to guide you step by step on how to install the Airraid Cold Air Intake. An easy way to protect your investment with a high flow high quality cleanable air filter and improve performance as well. We are going to install this on a 2014 Steeda 3.5L Eco-Boost F-150. The tools needed for this installation are an 8mm or 5/16 wrench, standard and Phillips type screwdrivers, 1/4" drive ratchet, 1/4" drive short extension, 1/4" drive E6 external torx socket, both 9/32 and 5/32 allen wrenches. Our first step is to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Next unplug the mass air flow sensor or intake air temperature sensor depending on what you have. Release the three air filter lid fasteners and loosen the air box clamp on the intake tube. Lift and remove the air box lid. Note- slide the lid towards the center of the truck to release the tabs from the tab slots. Remove the air filter. The next thing we're going to do is assemble the Airaid Cold Air Intake Box. The two panels fit together easily but make sure the tabs that the screws attach them to are on the outside. Hand start all of the #6 button head screw along with #6 flat washers and the #6 keep nuts before tightening. Next the air seal is installed the tall sides of the air box. Make sure you the seal where the contour is outwards on the air box. We've already removed the plug for the intake air temperature sensor, and here is the plug you would remove if you have the mass air flow sensor. So now we need the intake air temperature from the factory air box. This is where you're going to need the E6 external torx. After that is removed sensor should slide out easily. Next we'll install it into our air meter tube. Secure it with the supplied #8 button head screw and the #8 washer. Now we can assemble meter tube into the air box. Assemble the air meter into the air box using the 2- 1/4" button head screws. Note that the intake air temperature sensor on now on the bottom if the inlet tube. Now we can install the Airaid box into the factory lower box. Make to insert the tabs into the tab keepers then lower the box while connecting the air inlet tube. Once the air box is set, secure the three filter lid fasteners, then tighten the air inlet tube clamp. Plug in the sensor specific to your vehicle. Next install the Aioraid filter to the intake tube and tighten the clamp. Reconnect the negative battery terminal and your install is complete.
