Anything’s better than stock
Getting right into it, the shifter feels great when it’s properly seated. I’ve been having issues with the joint connectors popping off (while driving) because the new shifter is just slightly bigger around the bottom, and side joint. I’m hopeful that this will go away as it wears down a bit but I have to drive around without the center console for that reason. Its all aluminum so it tends to rattle between the reverse safety latch and main shifter, but who cares it’s a heavy sporty short throw shifter. And yes the throws are a lot shorter and stiffer. Over all I would recommend just make sure to drive around and break it in hard to avoid the ball joints slipping off later on. Also recommend the polished aluminum weighted shift knob along with this. Feels great and completely changes the weight of the shifts.
