ADD and Alcon engineering groups got together to develop the only 2010-2014 & 2017 Raptor / 2009-2017 F-150 rear brake kit that allows you to use 17" factory wheels. The 4 piston calipers are fluid balanced to work with factory ABS system and compatible with OE parking brake. The opposing 4 piston military grade ductile iron calipers allow for more clamping force, more stopping power, and are fluid balanced; maintaining ABS compatibility with 15% pedal effort reduction. Being ductile iron gives higher resistance to impact and fatigue. The calipers are radial mount with billet adapter for minimal deflection. High temp seals increase seal life, increase dust protection, and maximize service intervals. The epoxy acrylic paint over acid zinc finish looks great and provides the ultimate in corrosion protection. The larger and thicker slotted 14.0" x 1.25"rotors increase brake torque and produce less fade due to increased thermal mass & directional curved vein vents. Topping it all off are Alcon's high friction pads with increased pad area which reduce temperatures and increase stopping power, while increasing pad life. The OE brake systems are good in stock form but for towing heavy loads or high speed off road fun, the OE can fade and lose performance unlike ADD's brake kit. In real world testing, ADD subjected these to a brutal 1,600 mile trip in Baja Mexico that included 100 MPH runs down remote dirt roads, The brakes performed flawlessly proving their durability and was the final step in testing before they granted approval to release to the market.
