Steeda's Lightweight Tubular Front Radiator Support was the first one on the market that allowed you to maintain your front swaybar and reduce weight at the same time! Our competitors took years before catching on to this.
Our engineers designed this support from super strong and light 4130 chrome moly alloy steel material. This resulted in a tubular support that is much lighter than the factory piece. Your factory radiator support weighs in at 17 pounds, our easy to install radiator support comes in at less than 8 pounds, for an easy 9+ pound weight reduction off the front of the car. That is over half the weight of the stock steel unit and yet is still strong enough for you to run your front swaybar when not at the drag strip and tough enough to withstand the rigors of autocross and road course competition. This support is the perfect item for the road course/autocross car to reduce front end weight and improve weight distribution.
Compared to changing the K-member our tubular radiator support improves weight distribution by 0.3% and takes weight right off the nose of the car which is ideal. A typical tubular K-member improves weight distribution 0.4%, yet costs many hundreds of dollars more, is much more complicated/costly to install which ads even more cost, and is not removing weight from the front nose of the vehicle, making ours the best bang for your buck piece for performance and weight reduction.
Our tubular radiator support works with or without the swaybar also with or without the factory Z-brace found underneath the 2011-14 GT models. Fits the factory original, Steeda, and most aftermarket front swaybars.
Our radiator support is tig welded and powdercoated in silver metal flake which makes for a great looking piece. It accepts all factory hardware also. This brace bolts directly in place of the factory piece and can be installed by practically anyone in their garage or driveway.
