Steeda's ProFlow Cold Air Intake on an otherwise stock 2011 5.0L Mustang has achieved a blistering 1/4 mile time of 11.96 at over 115mph! Steeda was the first manufacturer to get into the 11.90 range on a radial tire. Competitors had to use slicks to keep up.

Steeda Autosports, the world's largest aftermarket manufacturer of Ford performance equipment is once again leading the performance market with our High Velocity Cold Air Intake (CAI). This intake was designed before the car was even available using CAD data supplied exclusively by Ford Motor Company via our Technology Transfer program with Ford engineers.

This high performance CAI effectively opens up the intake system of Ford's new five-liter power plant and allows it to breath much more freely than the stock intake system allows - taking your 2011 & Up 5.0L Mustang to the next level of performance.

The 2011 & Up 5.0L Mustang’s intake system from Ford is an excellent piece, one of the best ever to come out of Dearborn. But as usual, the engineers at Steeda were up to the challenge of making it even better for the performance customer that demands more power. Our engineers started with a large surface area high-flow nano-fiber air filter, added our famous “race-tested” velocity stack entry and then designed a black powder-coated heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicle’s hood. Next we increased the MAF housing size to 101mm and coupled it to a new higher flowing Pro-Flow inlet hose with our Cool-Tube Technology.

You would think this is more than enough, but we went the extra mile and designed this intake system to accept the factory sound tube should you decide you want to keep it for that robust intake sound many appreciate. Or if you want to eliminate it we provide the proper plug to delete it from the system.

To ensure the densest air charge possible we retained the factory cold air feed ducting from the front bumper. Steeda was the first company to do this starting in 2010 with our 2010 GT intake and have carried this innovation over to the 2011 model. We also sealed the black powder-coated heat shield to the hood to prevent any hot air from being sucked in from around the engine compartment. Some manufacturers have chosen to ignore the factory cold air ducting, while others don't bother to seal and isolate the airbox, which are both keys to keeping the lowest air charge temperatures possible. Also, our billet aluminum velocity stack and high flow air filter ensure a clean, streamlined air charge into the engine.

This Cold Air Intake is so effective at improving airflow into the five-liter engine that a performance tune is not just recommended, it is required for maximum performance! In an effort to maximize performance and provide our customers with only the very best products we have partnered with the leader in automotive tuning - SCT Performance.

Combined with the required custom tune using an SCT X3 Flash programming device we have achieved dramatic power increases of up to 44hp and 52ft/lbs of torque!

Our power increase it not just a peak number at one point in the band. The actual power increase is spread throughout the entire rpm range so your increased performance is available on demand in any gear at virtually any rpm!

You can definitely notice an improvement in throttle response. MPG remains unaffected and this cold air intake looks great under the hood. Thanks Steeda!

Awesome throttle response and can feel the difference in the auto trans shift points I recommend this tuner my only concern is if there will be a water issue in stands with vented hoods does anyone know if there has been any complaints about water getting in I know the filter gets some water on it but don't know if it will be a problem otherwise grate product thanx steeda :)

I'm so glad I finally made the right choice in cold air intakes. I've had 2 others (I resold them on craigs list lol) and had problems with the idle quality. My idle with this one could not be better not to mention the power gain! I guess the billet mass air section of the Steeda cold air really works!!!

I've owned my 2013 GT Premium convertible with automatic for 14 months now. I finally decided it was time for some mods so I installed the Steeda 101mm CAI and tune.
One word description after the first drive: Wow!

I initially upped the shift firmness by 5% with the 87 octane tune. Under WOT acceleration with traction control off, it easily breaks traction on the 2-3 upshift. I ultimately went 91 octane and stock shift firmness. Even with all the electronic nannies on, it will still chirp the tires on the 2-3 upshift.

The intake sound level is impressive, quiet at cruise but you definitely hear it when you hit the gas pedal. There is a point during WOT acceleration where the intake hits a resonate frequency and get a bit louder than I like, but it is brief and all the pluses easily negate this one negative.

I have not had it on long enough to comment on mileage, but from a performance standpoint, it is like a whole new car.

Clean, well designed kit. Easy to read instructions with clear pictures. Took 45 mins. from start to finish. Put in tune, Wow.......! Great throttle response. Also, have picked up 3.5 mpg city driving. Have yet to do highway comparison, but expecting similar results. Very satisfied
