We've added a number of QA1 components for Mustang front suspension to the lineup here at Steeda, an excellent complement to our existing line. All parts are substantial enough for racing (right on up through the Pro 5.0 class) and look good enough for those who favor show over go.
TUBULAR K-MEMBERS
QA1's tubular K-members are designed from the ground up for weight savings, improved geometry and as a bolt-in swap for the factory K-member in race applications. May alter wheel base and stance.
. Bolt-In Design All mounting points have been digitally indexed from new, factory K-members.
. Weight Savings Up to 28 lbs. lighter than the factory K-members with increased strength by design.
. Increased Header Clearance Header and oil pan clearance maximized for easier maintenance and installation.
. Modular Design for Versatility Spring perches are removable for extra weight savings when using coil-over kits. Stock or aftermarket a-arms can be used.
. Improved Geometry Bump steer, anti-dive and Ackerman angles have been improved for maximum performance.
TUBULAR CONTROL ARMS
Tubular control arms reduce unsprung weight while improving weight distribution in race applications. QA1 tubular control arms require the use of QA1 coil-over struts and QA1 caster/camber plates.
. Eco-Comp Control Arms The Eco-Comp control arms are an economical choice in tubular arms for use on the strip. They are built with QA1's exclusive compressed rubber bushings and engineered for performance. The Eco Comp's offer value without sacrificing performance.
. Pro-Comp Control Arms The QA1 Pro-Comp Control Arms are the ultimate in adjustability, design and strength. These arms utilize QA1's exclusive XM series rod ends. These chrome moly, heat-treated rod ends use QA1's exclusive Teflon®/Kevlar® lining for superior performance and durability. Included in the control arm kit are spacers to allow movement of the arms forward and rearward for the wheel base adjustment.
COIL-OVER CONVERSION KIT
Each kit includes (2) two-piece upper spring caps with bearings, (2) spring seats & (2) washers. Springs sold seperately, rates listed above.
MUSTANG STRUTS
. 100% Aluminum Body 3 lbs. lighter (each) than any other strut available, precision machined for perfect piston bore fit, black hard anodized inside and out for incredible strength and durability, fully threaded for easy coil-over conversion.
. Exceptional Piston Rod Design Piston rod goes completely through the body and is supported on both ends for greater strength and more consistent valving. Piston rod bind is eliminated.
. Externally Adjustable Valving 10 full sweeps of rebound valving. Changes are accomplished from under the hood for easy access. One knob allows for quick and precise valving changes from street to strip to road racing.
. Monotube Design The large body and monotube design provide for the use of a larger piston and greater fluid volume. More fluid means lower temperatures and the larger piston allows for greater fluid control for more consistent valving.
. Easy Bolt-In Installation The Mustang struts are a direct replacement for the factory struts. They can be used in conjunction with stock or aftermarket K-members, as shown with the Mustang Pro-Active System (see page 59).
. These struts are revalveable and rebuildable by QA1 Authorized Service Centers
