Hey guys, I'm new to the mustang scene. I'm only 16 and I just bought an '06 mustang gt stick. My car has nothing at all. I'm thinking an axle back, tuner, and cold air kit for now. In the future, I want to make this car a road racer. What suspension should i get (obviously not drag pack)? Also, what gear ratio and rear differential should I get? I'm still confused about tire sizes, but if I got the Pentars in 18x9.5, what size tire should I get? Sorry about all the questions but thanks for the help, and I hope I get enough money  Sad to do business with you soon!

For tires, you can go with 275/40/18 on all four corners with no issue. This will enable you to rotate your tires also.

suspension-wise, our sport springs, sway-bars, and billet lowers with the upper 3rd link would be a good starting point for the suspension.

Q650wannabe, make sure to add track time to your list of mods. You should hit up as many track days as possible before over modifying your car. Have you ever participated in a track day?

I have had no racing experience at all. The only track I have ever been to was with my uncle when I was about 9. Besides that I have never even been at a track. I'll start looking for track days, but it's going to take me a while to mod my car so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the help guys.

If you do not have any plans Feb 14th-15th, a group of Palm Beach Mustang Club(PBMC) members are signed up for the PBOC drivers ed at PBIR(Moroso). I, along with several PBMC members, instruct for PBOC. Sooo, if you wanna check one out, let me know your coming and I will get you a seat in the class room sessions, some free rides around the track, and at lunch time you can go out for parade laps around the track. Its a good way to see what a track day is all about, not to mention meet some great people and see some great cars in action.

Well guys, shortly after my last post I got into a wreck. Now I have a 1995 Explorer but I'm saving for a SN-95. Thanks for the help and I guess I really do need driving time. lol. I'll probably check out some track dates when/if I get another Mustang, but it's going to take a lot of convincing.
