As good as the Boss 302 Mustang is, there is still room for improvement and Steeda has found it with our Boss 302 cold air intake system!

Designed in-house by our engineering staff specifically for the Boss 302. This high performance CAI effectively opens up the intake system of Ford's five-liter power plant and allows it to breath much more freely than the stock intake system allows - taking your Boss 302 Mustang to the next level of performance.

Our engineers started with a large surface area high-flow nano-fiber air filter, added our famous “race-tested” velocity stack entry and then designed a stainless steel heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicle’s hood. Next we increased the MAF housing size to 101mm and coupled it to a new higher flowing Pro-Flow inlet hose with our Cool-Tube Technology.

To ensure the densest air charge possible we retained the factory cold air feed ducting from the front bumper. Steeda was the first company to do this starting in 2010 with our 2010 GT intake and have carried this innovation over to the 2011-12 models. We also sealed the stainless steel shield to the hood to prevent any hot air from being sucked in from around the engine compartment. Some manufacturers have chosen to ignore the factory cold air ducting. Some claim they use it when it is really just hanging there blowing air into an open compartment. While others don't bother to seal and isolate the airbox, which are all keys to keeping the lowest air charge temperatures possible. Also, our billet aluminum velocity stack and high flow air filter ensure a clean, streamlined air charge into the engine.

This Cold Air Intake is so effective at improving airflow into the five-liter engine that a performance tune is not just recommended, it is required for maximum performance! Combined with the required custom tune using an SCT X4 Flash programming device we have achieved dramatic power increases.

Peak to Peak gains of up to 28hp and 22ft/lbs of torque have been achieved, with point to point gains of as much as 32 horsepower and 25 ft/lbs of torque!

Our power increase it not just a peak number at one point in the band. The actual power increase is spread throughout the entire rpm range so your increased performance is available on demand in any gear at virtually any rpm!

Note: requires a minimum of 91 octane fuel for power gains.

Amazing quality and fitment. The velocity stack will not disappoint - the car sounds meaner and looks great under the hood.

Installed this along with the Boss intake and O/R h-pipe yesterday. Perfect fit on my coyote engine. I do have to say the velocity stack is a beautiful piece. Everything fits perfect and the quality is second to none. This is the first Steeda part I have ever bought and it will not be the last.

Great piece. I have installed or used other brands in the past. C&L, JLT, AIRAID and they all pale in comparison to the intake I just received!!!!! You can tell it was engineered not some brainchild that was pumped out overnight. The Fit and finish is top notch. You wont find a more well thought out Cold Air Intake. OEM fit and finish.

I just installed this intake on my 2013 Boss 302. Not trusting my seat of the pants I actually tested the restriction of the stock intake and compared it to that of the Steeda. Using an ultrasensitive manometer tapped into a cap placed over the sound tube port between the throttle body and the filter, at full throttle between 6000 and 7000 RPM I measured negative pressure of 23 inches of water stock vs. 8 inches with the Steeda. In simple terms this demonstrates that the factory intake is quite restrictive whereas the Steeda is not.
