A Special New Year Message

Dario OrlandoAs we approach the dawn of yet another new year, it is very important for us to also reflect upon 2013 and realize just how fortunate we really are. All of us at Steeda Autosports are humbled at our good fortune of having loyal, educated, and discerning customers that truly appreciate the products we engineer, and manufacturer. The trust you have placed in us in satisfying your Ford performance needs provides us tremendous satisfaction and also reminds us daily just how fortunate we really are.

As we embark into 2014, it is even more critical that we recognize and never lose an appreciation for what matters most in life – and that is our family and loved ones. Because it is the love and support they provide that make life enjoyable and rewarding. We always should remember and support the past and present members of our Armed Forces – the men and women of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard – as it is because of their contributions and sacrifices that everyone in America can enjoy a safe and free New Year Holiday Celebration once again this year.

In closing, I would like to wish everyone a safe and well deserved break; please take some added time to reflect, to laugh, and to share with your family and your loved ones… And lets do our best to balance our family time with our work time. On behalf of the entire Steeda Autosports Team, and myself, please accept our sincere best wishes for a truly Happy and Healthy New Year.

Sincerely,
Dario Orlando,
President, Steeda Autosports

Mark Your Calendar – 2014 Pony Wars!

Christmas might be just around the corner but the team here at Steeda Autosports is already gearing up for the spring 2014 Pony Wars. Held every year at South Georgia Motorsports Park which is one of the top drag strips in the country, the 5th Annual Pony Wars co-hosted by LSR Performance and scheduled for March 29th 2014, will be an event you don’t want to miss.

2014 Pony Wars

All American makes are welcome to participate in what’s been considered the ultimate pony war showdown. For those of you who might be confused as to what the definition of a true Pony Car is… it doesn’t refer to just the Ford Mustang as most would think. The Pony Car classification was given to several models within the GM and Dodge/Plymouth lines as well as Ford and Pontiac, which were inspired by the Ford Mustang originally.

What that breaks down to is a very exciting event!

Steeda and LSR performance will be hosting a pre-race party Friday evening March 28th at a yet undisclosed location. The party will be a good opportunity for everyone to make introductions, check out the competition and set up those grudge races. Some good old fashioned smack talk never hurt, right?

On Saturday morning, the event will kick off at Steeda’s Valdosta location which will include a tour of the manufacturing and distribution facilities. For those who attend, there will be a special Pony Wars discounted rate on Steeda parts, good that day only. From there we’ll head to South Georgia Motorsports Park to begin time trials in the form of a test and tune and grudge races both run on SGMP’s new stop light timing system. We’ll then sort cars into three classes based on closest ET’s and let them battle it out for prizes and bragging rights.

While the fun continues on the drag strip, we’ll also be hosting a car show and have several photographers on hand so make sure those rides are shined up and looking their best! We’ve got a lot more planning to do yet, this is only the beginning! We’ll release more details as they become available, keep checking back for more news!

Setting the Bar – Steeda’s Improved Panhard Bar

If your Mustang is lowered or if you plan on lowering it in the future, the Steeda adjustable panhard bar is a necessary must have. Don’t take our word for it… stand behind a friend’s car that has lowering springs on it with no other modifications. Even with stock tires, you’ll notice that the rear is pushed out to the left. If you have wide tires and upgraded wheels, you’re almost guaranteed to rub without the use of a panhard bar.

The main function of the panhard bar is to provide the ability to adjust rear end offset. Our larger urethane bushings on the street model reduce flex and improve the panhard bar’s control resulting in better steering response and handling balance while maintaining low NVH (noise, vibration and harshness). If you’re a road race aficionado we also carry our track tested race version bar with spherical rod end bushings for the ultimate in rigidity and hard cornering capability.

The Steeda adjustable panhard bar is 40% lighter than its stock replacement and is 31% lighter than our closest competitor. We make our bar out of 4130 chrome moly steel which is stronger than the stock mild steel piece. This improved design over our original one allows for center adjustability using a CNC machined chrome moly steel adjuster and CNC chrome moly threaded inserts, precisely engineered to provide an easy adjustment while also allowing for an extremely high quality fit. The new center adjustment point also means no wrench fitment or installation issues.
