Steeda Autosports will attend the 32nd Annual Mid-America Ford Performance and Shelby Meet, June 8-11. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Steeda’s first visit to the premier Ford enthusiast event in the country. ” We plan to bring our new 500+ horsepower, 2006 Steeda Q 525 to Mid-America and will be testing it during the Ford Mustang Open Track event and Late Model Exhibition at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit”, stated Steeda President, Dario Orlando.
“This will be our 10th year attending the event and testing our Steeda vehicles and performance parts on the very beautiful, but challenging Hallet road course”. Dario continued. “We want to invite everyone to stop by our Steeda Corral at Hallett, during Goodyear Eagle Day on Saturday at Tulsa Raceway Park and at the Classic Design Concepts All Ford Super Show at the Marriott Southern Hills on Sunday. We will have some giveaways and enthusiasts can see the Q 525 up close and personal. We welcome all Steeda vehicles to park in our corral at all three venues.”
Tom Ellis, driving his Steeda Autosports prepared and equipped American Sedan Mustang set a new class record at the famed Daytona International Speedway. In his quest for a second straight SCCA American Sedan Southeast Division Championship and invitation to the National Championships, Ellis has managed to set lap records at Road Atlanta and now Daytona, where he qualified for the pole and knocked two seconds off the existing class record.
The Palm Express sponsored Mustang never missed a beat all weekend as Ellis notched another win with a 19 second lead over the second place finisher. Tom is quick to credit his talented Crew Chief, Jose Carbonell and the very talented Steeda Tech team of Sam Cory and Chad Coy, who prepare the Mustang for each race. “I really enjoy driving the Mustang, it is both fast and reliable thanks to my teammates” stated Ellis.” In production car racing, the rules are very strict and being able to run the Steeda suspension components gives me a big advantage over the other racers with other competitive systems.” Tom continued. Next race is Road Atlanta, June 3-4.with a 20 point lead, the championship looms on the horizon.
Four races into the 2006 season Darrell Peterson is undefeated in Fun Ford Weekend Street Warrior Class action, with a perfect 4-0 record. The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida resident has once again clearly demonstrated that the price of victory is high, but so are the rewards. Darrell, along with Thunder Autosports owner Steve Lee and long time friend and teammate, Brian Mcafee worked long and hard over the off-season to make their Mustang faster than last year. Winning the Class Championship in 2004-05 has not taken the competitive edge from this group.
Running out of Lee’s Thunder Autosports facility in Boynton Beach, Florida, the team added a new, potent EFI setup and new cam tweaks to make their already fast Mustang, even faster. Equipped with some new Steeda Hardcore suspension pieces, the production based Mustang consistently records outstanding 1.29 60 foot times, no matter what track they race on. A trip to to the Steeda Autosports Campus to dial the suspension in to handle the increased power has paid huge dividends. With a bright, new paint scheme that really enhances their Mustang, the Thunder Autosports crew feels their future is bright as they head to the next Fun Ford Weekend in Richmond, Virginia, June 24-25.
Mark Graves runs a great looking Mineral Grey Mustang GT out of his home town of Ludlow, Vermont. That is approximately 1500 miles from the Steeda Autosports Campus in Pompano Beach. The distance did not deter Mark when he wanted a new Vortec supercharger and have it tuned with the exclusive Steeda Ford Motor Company SEMA Technology Transfer initiative for engine management and calibration systems.
With this technology, Steeda can make over 2,000 calibrations to the Mustang processor and meet all emission and OBDTll requirements. Mark Graves will not have to drive 3,000 miles back to Steeda to have the Mustang diagnosed, he can go to any Ford dealer in North America.
While at Steeda Mark added a number of performance and appearance items ranging from a Bullitt fuel door to a Steeda Boost Pipe for his new supercharger. The 2003 Mustang is equipped with Steeda G-Trac suspension plus many other performance parts Mark has ordered from Steeda since he purchased the car. Now with over 400 horsepower, we know Mark is having more fun per mile than ever before.
