First Canadian Screamin Yellow Q Completed

Having completed the first Steeda Screaming Yellow Q Mustang for the Canadian market, Jeff Dann from Bishop Sales, Vancouver, BC sent us some photos of the project, and announced that a second car will be constructed for use in the Eastern Territories by Sterling Ford Sales of Ottawa. As the Canadian New Car Show season unfolds, the car shown here will be displayed by Dann at the events in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary, while the Sterling-constructed version is scheduled for action in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and possibly Quebec City.

While we wouldn’t want to trade weather with our neighbors to the north, we wouldn’t mind a chance to see the Canadian countryside from behind the wheel of one of these road-hungry rockets! No doubt Canadian Ford Fanatics will be every bit as impressed as their stateside counter-parts when the show season begins next year.

Date Set for 2005 Camp Steeda/SVTOA Sebring Sensation

Ah, Spring, when a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of hauling ass around an internationally renowned speedway in his favorite Ford! While we don’t expect Alfred Lord Tennyson to show, (he’ll still be spinning in his grave over the abuse of his quote), Steeda Autosports invites you to attend the next Camp Steeda/SVTOA Sebring Sensation, slated for April 22-24, 2005 at Sebring International Raceway.

Last year an estimated 300 people attended the weekend-long affair, while 86 drivers and cars registered for classroom instruction and track time, both on the cone course and on the open portion of the road course. A car show was held, featuring Fords from 1957 to the present, and Vendors displayed their wares in the Midway. Casual contact continued into the evening hours with a Friday Night Vendor Meet & Greet, and a memorable Saturday Night Banquet.

This year’s event should be equally impressive, with an added extra – Sebring will permit registered cars and drivers access to the entire road course this year, so thrill seekers can really wind ’em up before braking at the end of the Ullman Straight. Interested parties may contact SVTOA Southern Regional Director, Gene Pavliscsak at 727-692-6924 or at [email protected] This evevent kicks off the whole SVTOA National On-Track Program for ’05 – don’t miss it!

Steeda Announces Fun Ford Contingency Program for ’05

Ah, Spring, when a young man’s fancy lightly turns Steeda Autosports is pleased to announce that their Screamin’ Yellow Q Ford Mustang has been selected as the Official Car of the Fun Ford Weekend National Drag Racing Series for Calendar Year 2005. Additionally, Steeda returns as Class Sponsor in the Mod Motor Madness Class and continues the Contingency Program for the Focus Frenzy Class as well.

As the Official Car of FFW, it’s Steeda’s goal to get additional exposure for their network of Ford Dealers who can provide turnkey, Steeda enhanced Mustangs that still carry the full manufacturer’s warranty. The car is scheduled to be displayed at the Orlando event – other showings are TBA at this point. Ford Dealers interested in the Steeda Autosports New Vehicle Program are encouraged to contact Steeda New Vehicle Program Manager Mike Morella at (954) 960-0774, or at [email protected]

Now for those Ford drivers who like to advance their odometers in 1320 foot increments, Steeda returns to FFW as a Co-Sponsor of the Mod Motor Maddness Class, and with Contingency Programs for both Mustang and Focus drivers to consider. FFW does a great job of providing close competition, so drivers looking for the competitive edge often look to Steeda. Consider the track record compiled by drivers already on record as running Steeda parts and it’s easy to see why. Take Focus Frenzy for instance – Champion Owen Spry, Runner Up Brandey Burd and 3rd place finisher Mark Adkins all ran Steeda Enhancements on their Foci last year.

Steeda Rolls Out New Cars, Parts and Displays at PRI Show!

For the past 17 years, The Performance Racing Industry Show has showcased the finest in hardcore racing and performance equipment, and this year was bigger and better than ever. Over 1300 companies exhibited their products to over 45,000 racing business people from 40 countries.

The 2004 PRI Show was a very successful venue for Steeda Autosports. The company set up two brand new displays, one featuring the latest performance equipment, the second for the 2005 Steeda Screamin’ Yellow Q. Both exhibits enjoyed very high traffic flow as there was extremely high interest in the 2005 Steeda parts lineup and of course, the latest Steeda Mustang. The company brought a second Mustang, the 2005 Torch Red Q to the PRI show where it was the centerpiece of the Nitto Tire display. Sporting a set of the very impressive, DOT approved, NT01competition radials (due to hit American streets next spring), the Torch Red Q drew large crowds all during the show.

In the Steeda parts exhibit, an actual 3650 Tremec 2005 Mustang transmission was equipped with the new Steeda Tri-Ax® shifter and billet handle. Countless people were able to experience the smooth operation of the latest version of the patented shifter. The Steeda Tri-Ax® shifter is the best selling shifter on the market and after trying out the 2005 model, people could easily see why. From the hot selling Steeda oil separator kit to the latest in 2005 Mustang suspension pieces, the Steeda display was an extremely busy place for the entire show.

The Screamin’ Yellow Q was a true showstopper every day. Mounted on a specially built ramp to allow for easy viewing of all the new Steeda engineered and manufactured suspension pieces including the billet lower trailing arms, the Steeda Mustang had more people under it, checking out the new bits than the average NASCAR Nextel Cup Taurus during a pit stop. The 2005 Mustang suspension is all new and Steeda has designed, engineered and manufactured a host of new performance equipment for the car, many examples of which were on the Screamin’ Yellow Q.

The Steeda functional race hood was opened to allow people to see the new Steeda cold air kit, billet strut tower brace and charge motion plates, as well as a number of dress up items. Among these were the stainless steel, precision fit radiator cover, the fuse box cover and other billet accessories. Just like the SEMA Show last month the latest Steeda Mustang was a star attraction of the PRI Show.

Due to its tremendous popularity, the Performance Racing Industry Show has outgrown the Indianapolis facility and will be moving to Orlando, Florida next year. We will miss the very gracious and hospitable people of Indianapolis, but look forward to next December 1-3 when we will again be exhibiting the latest performance equipment from Steeda Autosports at this well run and exciting show.

Steeda ’05 Mustang Package Approved for Grand-Am Cup Series

Steeda Autosports leads again, this time as the first performance vehicle manufacturer to get their ’05 Mustang performance components approved for use in the 2005 Grand-Am Cup Series. This builds upon the winning tradition established by Steeda in the series, which saw the Steeda-enhanced, Schreiner Racing Cobra R take the Championship in 2002.

Grand American rules keep competition close for production-based racers by judiciously restricting the modifications permitted to the car as delivered from the factory. This in turn demonstrates the Steeda Autosports commitment to Mustang Enthusiasts – the components approved for Grand-Am Cup racing are the same parts available now for street driven ‘stangs! With 11races on the international schedule for ’05, and television coverage of all races on the SPEED Channel, Mustang fans can expect a lot of excitement in the year ahead.

Racers will be glad to hear that Steeda is continuing their contingency program in the series, which pays out handsomely for podium finishes. Additionally, race teams participate directly in Steeda’s on-going R & D efforts, gaining the latest tuning information from Steeda’s technical staff, under the direction of William Mathis, VP of Engineering and Manufacturing at Steeda, a man with his own successful track record. The teams contribute critical feedback used in Steeda’s never-ending quest for perfection. This results in an opportunity where teams can save the hours and the efforts normally spent dialing in a new set-up, and, as you might expect in a production-based racing series, these refinements benefit Steeda-enhanced, street-driven ‘stangs as well.

Steeda Q Cars and Parts Head to PRI Show

All roads lead to the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis, IN next week for the 17th annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. Steeda Autosports will be among the 1,300 companies on hand December 9-11, displaying their wares to the anticipated 40,000 racing entrepreneurs. Members of race teams, speed shop owners and professional installers from 40 countries will be in attendance, able to see not only the Steeda Q Cars, but the individual parts that contribute to these signature Steeda vehicle’s growing popularity.

Steeda will have two displays at the show. In booth #3994 the Screamin’ Yellow Q will be on display, showcasing many of the recently introduced parts from Steeda Manufacturing engineered expressly for the ’05 Mustang. Many of those parts, along with long-time popular Steeda products, like the patented Tri-Ax® shifter line, and Steeda’s championship winning suspension systems (including the 5 Link 2) will be displayed in booth #8096. Steeda thanks fellow Ford fan Bruce Weiss and his company, Trade Show Specialties, for the stunning displays they created for the show – appropriate framing for our Mustang masterpieces!

Additionally, Nitto Tires will be showcasing the Torch Red Q in their display. From individual components to fully outfitted vehicles, there will be plenty for Steeda fans to see at the show, which is open only to professionals and those in the industry.

But wait – there’s more! The Screamin’ Yellow Q has been selected by Ford Motor Company to be on display at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, January 15-23. And the Torch Red Q will be featured at the Los Angeles Auto Show January 7-16, in the Nitto Tire exhibit. These shows are open to the public, and with 12,816 ’05 Mustangs sold in November (a 50% increase over the same period last year!), we expect these shows to be heavily attended.
